Young people are the future of this nation; therefore Starks
Training Institute has developed a special seminar for youths
and their safety. Did you know that 1 in 3 females will
be exposed to a possible rape during a four year tour of college?
How do you protect yourself? What other preventative
measures can you take? This class will show you how!
Other topics covered during the Back to School/Campus Safety
Seminar includes:
- Adapting to new surroundings, and how to see
yourself "through the eyes of a criminal".
- Stalking.
- Drug Issues, i.e. Rophynol.
- Safety on and off campus.
- Dorm/Apartment Safety.
- How to handle yourself in a crisis situation.
- Break-away techniques which you will learn
and practice in class.
- The importance of an "exit strategy" in everyday
surroundings.
- Six basic "break away self-defense moves".
- Identity Theft, including banking and credit
information.
We will utilize a safety quiz to address the most common issues
of crime and leave time for questions and answers. We also
make self defense products available for purchase for those
interested.
